A few months ago, I was working a retail job in a mall. I was working crazy hours and drinking coffee and soda and eating food from the food court almost daily. My body got to the point where it just couldn't take it anymore and I was feeling miserable ALL the time. Before taking the next step to see a doctor, I decided to make some changes on my own to see if it helped. I stopped drinking soda and coffees full of added ingredients and changed my diet to eating clean and healthy foods. I also started a workout routine again. Not spending hours in a gym, but just 30 minutes a day at home on my time. I noticed a change almost immediately!
I have never felt healthier and stronger than I do now...and I never went to see a doctor because now I don't need to. I figured out that if I put crap into my body, then I will feel like crap. It's just not worth it to me anymore. Sure, I'll have a cookie or some pizza every now and then...but not every day and in moderation. What's amazing though, is that I hardly ever want things like that anymore anyway because I feel so much better without it!
This isn't a diet. For me, it's a lifestyle change. I'm not trying to get skinnier or lose pounds. I have never had a problem with my weight and that's not what this is about for me. What I want for myself is to be healthy and strong.
Everyone has a different story and this is mine.
Do you want to make a change in your life? Do you want to be happier? Healthier? Have more energy? Budget your money better? Make more time for YOU? I can't promise you that it will be easy, but I CAN promise you that it will be worth it. You just have to take that first step.
xoxo Shannon

DeleteIt is great that you saw the problem and fixed it yourself! So many people don't realize how the junk food we consume really hurts us. I want to get back into exercising regularly because I feel better when I'm active. Good luck on your journey & I hope to read more about it! =)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I didn't realize that working out was something I had been missing until I started to do it again. Good luck to you!
