Salted Caramel Shakeology Recipe

I used to love getting Salted Caramel Lattes at Starbucks during this time of year.  This fall, instead of drinking empty calories, I decided to incorporate the same flavors into my morning shake.  The best part is that this will be my healthiest meal of the day...and it tastes so good! ;)

Salted Caramel Shakeology Recipe:

1 scoop or packet of Vanilla Shakeology
6 oz. Water 
4 oz. Almond Milk
1 tsp. Caramel Extract
Pinch of Pink Himalayan Salt or Sea Salt
Shake or Blend with ice

The milk and water amounts can be adjusted to your preferences.  Just use more milk and less water if you want your Shakeo to be creamier.  The same goes for the salt.  I prefer Pink Himalayan Salt, but you can use whatever you have available.  Pink Himalayan Salt and Sea Salt are in their purest forms which is why those are my go-tos if I use salt at all.  Add more if you want a stronger, saltier taste!

Take the Beachbody Challenge!

6 Ways to Wear a Scarf

Scarf weather is almost here! 

I wanted to share with you 6 different ways to wear 1 scarf so you can get even more wear out of it.

The first way is the traditional way, wrapped around the neck with the ends hanging down in front.

The second is the loop.  Fold the scarf in half behind the neck and pull the ends through the loop.

The third way is a simple knot made in the front.

For the fourth, I made a regular scarf an infinity scarf by knotting the ends together behind the neck.

Then the fifth way is done by keeping the scarf as an infinity scarf and doubling it up.

The last way, I tied a bow on the side.

Closet Organizing: Part 1

Closet Organizing

With a  new season, comes a change in our wardrobes.  This makes it a perfect time to edit my closet!

I bring down my heavier sweaters and outerwear from the attic and put away my summer dresses and tops that I won't be layering for the cooler weather.  This way I can easily see pieces that I'm going to be wearing, which makes putting outfits together easier!

Before I put my summer clothes away, I go through each piece and get rid of anything I didn't wear or don't think I will wear again.  I either give these pieces to friends, donate them, or sell them to Twice (check it out here if you've never head of it before...I just got almost $100 for some pieces I sent in). To see what you have and have not worn follow this simple tip.  Turn all of your hangers around backwards, as seen in the picture.  Once you've worn an item, hang it up with the hanger facing the way it normally would.

Hangers Closet Organizing

After a certain amount of time, you can see what you never even wore!  So for fall and winter clothes, I turned all of my hangers around to start the season.  (Similar hangers hereWhen the weather gets warm again and I'm ready to pack those clothes away, I will be getting rid of anything unworn.  I know this isn't always easy...I might wear it someday...I got a really great deal on it...I know, I know, I know!  If you really want to have a wardrobe you LOVE, you have to edit it down to pieces you LOVE!

Scarves Closet Organizing

I don't know about you, but I have a LOT of scarves!  I organize mine on a multi-pant hanger I found at a discount store, like Marshalls or TJMaxx.  It's like a hanger with four metal bars.  I loop the scarves over them and I can see all of them at once!

Boots Closet Organizing
Not all of my boots stand up by themselves, especially the taller ones.  Awhile back, I went to Target (but you can find them many other places) and bought several pool noodles.  Then, I cut them the length to fit in each of my boots to keep them upright.  This is inexpensive and works great!
